Professor Lin Daohui Reports a New Strategy to Promote Remediation and Safe Crop Production in Contaminated Soil
2020-12-09
Professor Lin Daohui's group published a research paper in Nature Materials about a new strategy to promote remediation and safe crop production in contaminated soil. This method uses nanoscale zero valent iron (NZVI) to produce rice safely in the paddy field polluted by pentachlorophenol (PCP). This work not only repair the contaminated land, but also realize the safe production of crops, which opens up a new strategy for the application of nano materials in soil remediation.
Research highlights:
1. A new nano zero valent iron strategy has been developed, which can realize soil remediation and crop safety production at the same time.
2. Clarify the mechanism of soil remediation and crop growth of nano zero valent iron.
